Advent Workshop & Candy Churches

Join us for a free family Advent event and decorate candy churches to prepare for the Christmas season!

MDUMC Children's Choir Christmas Pageant

MDUMC Children’s choir spread the joy of Christmas through their festive pageant. Experience this free concert performed by our incredible children’s music ministry.

Houston Ebony Opera Guild Christmas Concert

MDUMC will host the Houston Ebony Opera Guild as it presents its annual Christmas concert called "Christmas Unsung: Voices from the Margins". The concert will feature stories, composers, and music that are often not heard in the season, particularly classical choral works representing the African diaspora. Conducted by R. DeAndre Johnson, the concert is free and open to the public.

Older Adult Ministry Advent Luncheon

A festive luncheon for the Older Adult Ministry with a delicious meal and special holiday music by Ken Ballard, Director of Contemporary Worship.

Christmas Concert

We are delighted to invite you and your family our annual Christmas Concert, celebrating the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. This concert will include the Chancel Choir, the MDUMC Orchestra, the Agape Singers Youth Choir, celebration ringers and the Journey Band.  Experience the joy and wonder of the Christmas spirit through beautiful music and heartfelt worship.

Donate a new, unwrapped toy for Memorial Assistance Ministries’ Christmas Share program. Bring toys to either campus, or purchase directly from the Amazon wish list.

Adopt a Family and purchase needed and wanted items off their family wishlist. To participate, fill out the online form below, and you will be contacted with more information.

Purchase a $25 Target or Wal-Mart gift card for teachers at Thornwood and Hollibrook Elementary schools. Bring giftcards to either campus.

Christmas Poinsettias

You’re invited to order a poinsettia in honor or memory of a loved one to help decorate for Advent. They will be in our worship spaces starting with Travelers' Eve Worship (December 18) through Christmas Eve. If you’re planning to attend Christmas Eve worship, you are welcome to take your poinsettia with you after the last service. Thank you!
