Frequently Asked Questions

Classic Worship

Classic Worship is located in our sanctuary surrounded by beautiful stained glass. In these services, God’s truth is proclaimed through the rich heritage of United Methodist liturgy, hymns, and an inspirational message.

• Music is led by the Chancel Choir and organ, frequently including the orchestra, handbells, children’s choirs, and soloists.

• Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of each month in all three services.

• Children’s time is offered at the 11 AM service.

Contemporary Worship

With a casual and friendly atmosphere, the Journey Contemporary Worship is a place to come as you are and leave changed by the grace of God. We connect with God through worship that combines the ancient traditions of the church with modern music and a relevant teaching message.

• Music is led by the Journey Band.

• Communion is celebrated weekly in both services.

• Children’s time is offered in both services.

Selah Contemplative Worship

Wednesdays | 11-11:30 AM | Sanctuary

Contemplative worship is an opportunity to be quiet and still in the midst of busyness. We hope you’ll join us for this mid-daytime of silent prayer, scripture, and reflection.

Worship and the Word

Wednesdays | 5:15-7:20 PM | Wesley Hall

Join us for weekly dinner, worship, and study. Dinner is served in Friendship Court from 5:15 – 6:15 PM ($8 for adults and $5 for children - no more than $25 per family) followed by a time of song and prayer led by Drew Essen and clergy staff in Wesley Hall. All are then welcome to stay for Dr. Robbins’ study on the book of Revelation, or to participate in different Bible studies or groups.

On the Main Campus

Children's worship packets are available in the Sanctuary entry and has crayons, coloring pages, activity sheets, and other 'busy but quiet' items.
Children's Time is offered at 11:00 a.m. in the middle of the worship service.
The Wiggle Room is a great option for babies or toddlers that may be disturbing others during the sermon. The room is right around the corner from the sanctuary and also shows the service on a large screen so no one misses the sermon. The room is also a 'Bride's room' for weddings but on Sunday mornings it is the Wiggle Room!
The Nursery is staffed with paid caregivers and you can take your child at any time during the worship hour.

The Journey Worship on The West Campus

Children are always invited and encouraged to participate in worship!
Worship packs with activity pages and crayons are available in the back of the room.
A full hour of Sunday school is offered during the 9:30 and 11 AM services.
Nurseries for infants and toddlers are staffed with paid caregivers for both hours of worship.

Other Suggestions:

If your child is learning to attend worship, go over the behavior expectations before the service and keep them simple. Such as:

- Restroom before or after worship
- We all stand when everyone is standing
- We all stop what we are doing when someone is praying
- There will be others around us listening
- After worship, ask them one thing they noticed or heard.
