Our hearts go out to the Uvalde community and those impacted by this tragedy. We work closely with South Texas Blood and Tissue Center, which supplies blood to the San Antonio and Uvalde areas. They were able to provide the needed blood and blood products to the children and staff affected at Robb Elementary School. It is at times like this that we remind our community of the importance of blood donation and why it is so critical to constantly maintain an adequate supply of blood on the shelves at all times. Tragedies can strike at any time, and we must be prepared to always meet our community’s needs.
