Caring Ministry

At Memorial Drive United Methodist Church, our Caring Ministries are an embodiment of our commitment to providing comprehensive support for individuals facing various challenges. Whether you're seeking support, therapy, or recovery, our caring community is here for you. Clergy members are always available to talk or offer prayers during times of grief, difficult situations, illness, and other challenging life events. In addition to our pastors' support, MDUMC hosts various support and recovery groups for those needing community during difficult times. We also equip and empower lay caregivers known as Stephen Ministers. These dedicated individuals are trained to deliver high-quality, one-to-one, Christ-centered care to those who are hurting. At MDUMC, we firmly believe in fostering a nurturing environment where individuals can find healing, support, and hope for a brighter tomorrow. If you would like to talk to a pastor or Stephen Minister, call the main church number at (713) 468 - 8356. For questions or more information on our Caring Ministries, contact the Director of Life Events and Caring Ministries, Kelly Cragg Vicente at KellyVicente@mdumc.org
