3 Simple Rules for MDUMC App

1. Sign in – at the initial download of the app, please sign in by following these instructions:

  • Tap the “Sign In” button on the app’s home page.

  • Tap “Receive sign-in code via email”. 

  • Enter your email to receive a one-time sign-in code and press “Send code.” [Note: For church members and regular attendees, it is important to use the email we have on file for you. This will help the database connect you to all the information we have on you. Using an alternate email address may result in a duplicate record.]

  • Check your email for the code. You should see an email from “Touchpoint Software” with the subject line “Mobile Sign-In Code.” 

  • Enter the code in the app and press “Verify.”

  • Set a 4-digit PIN code for the app. Because the app gives you direct access to your personal information and giving details, setting a PIN ensures secure access to that information.

2. Update Your Information

  • After signing in to your account on the app (see instructions above), tap your profile picture or icon.

  • Tap your profile picture. Tap “New Picture” at the bottom of the page and follow the prompts to take or upload a new photo. Once uploaded, use the other tools located at the bottom of the page to edit and save the photo.

  • Next tap “Profile”, located on the My Profile page, under the Personal section

  • You will notice the page is divided into several sections of information. Tap “Edit” to make all the necessary changes for each.

  • At the bottom of the page, you can toggle between Personal, Communication, Registrations, and Other in order to make any further changes to your information and communication preferences following the same process.

3. Explore more at my.mdumc.org

  • Signing in to the MDUMC mobile app also gives you access to the full my.MDUMC.org site. Simply log into my.MDUMC.org using the same email address you use to sign in to the MDUMC app (see sign-in instructions above). If you need a password, simply tap “request password” at the bottom of the login page. [IMPORTANT: Be sure to use the exact same email address. Using a separate email may result in a duplicate record or error.]

FAQ

  • No, after you have done the initial sign in then the app will remember you each time you return to it. If you didn’t sign in at the initial download of the app, please do so by following these instructions:

  • Sometimes a system update to your mobile device may sign you out of certain apps. If this happens, simply follow the same instructions for the initial sign-in process (see above). [IMPORTANT: Be sure to use the exact same email address. Using a separate email may result in a duplicate record or error.]

  • Yes! First, make sure you’ve completed the sign in process (see above). Second, tap the “Check In” button on the home page (available Sundays only). This will take you to the same registration form found on the website. If you have already signed into your account on the MDUMC app, then you should be able to register yourself and any other family members connected to your account. If you have not signed in, then you will need to fill out the form and list the names of those you are registering where indicated.

  • Yes! A link to the Directory can be found at the bottom of the home page of the MDUMC app. For security purposes, only those who are displayed in the directory can view the directory, and you must be logged into your account to access it. Your login will be the email address you use to sign in to the MDUMC app (see sign-in instructions above) and a password. If you need a password, simply tap “request password” at the bottom of the directory login page. [NOTE: This is a new church directory system. We are no longer utilizing or making updates to Instant Church Directory.]

  • Follow these simple steps to keep your information current both in the Directory and for the church’s records:

    After signing into your account on the app (see instructions above), tap your profile picture or icon.
