One of the best ways we can support local schools is by praying for them. After worship on August 16, you’re invited to head out in teams to local schools to pray for students, teachers, administrators, and staff as they begin a new school year.

Join us for our final discussion of Visions of Vocation by Steven Garber as we explore the theme of "Common Grace for the Common Good." Even if you haven't finished the book, we'd love for you to be part of the conversation.

Interested in serving on a family-friendly mission trip to Mexico? Join us for an interest meeting to learn more about an upcoming mission opportunity with Manos Juntas, a ministry of the Methodist Church of Mexico near Río Bravo.

At the meeting, you'll hear about the mission, trip logistics, and what to expect. All ages and skill levels are welcome - whether you're ready to sign up or simply want to learn more.

Young Professionals (20s & 30s)
If you're in your 20s or 30s, we'd love for you to join our new Young Professionals group! We'll kick things off by worshiping together at the 11 AM Journey service, then head to The Pit Room (10301 Katy Freeway) for lunch and conversation. Whether you're new to MDUMC or have been here a while, this is a great opportunity to meet new people and build community.

Join us this summer for Men’s Life Nights, a casual Thursday evening designed for fellowship, meaningful conversation, and exploring where life and faith meet. It’s a chance to slow down, connect with others, and grow in faith together.

This holiday weekend, we're doing something special. On Sunday, July 5, our entire church family will gather together for one combined worship service at 11 AM in the Sanctuary.

A few schedule notes for the day:

• There will be no services at the Journey and no 9:30 services — just one service at 11 AM in the Sanctuary.

• Children's Sunday school will not meet, but childcare will be available for children Pre-K 4 and younger. Kids of all ages are welcome in worship!

Then, stick around for lunch.

After the service, join us in the gym for a free church-wide cookout. We'll fire up the grill and provide burgers and hot dogs — you're invited to bring a dish to share:

• Last names A–M: side dish or salad

• Last names N–Z: dessert

Can't bring a dish? Come anyway! There's a place for everyone at the table. Please RSVP so we can save you a seat!

Join us for our annual Summer BBQ Luncheon sponsored by the Older Adult Ministry! Enjoy a delicious meal from the MDUMC kitchen and live entertainment from Kendrick Ballard, Director of Contemporary Worship. This event is a wonderful opportunity for fellowship with friends and members of the community.

Have you ever wanted to read music with confidence? Join us for a welcoming, beginner-friendly class for adults where you'll learn the basics of notes, rhythm, melody, and musical symbols in a relaxed and encouraging setting. God is at work all around us, even in the everyday moments and media we engage with. What have you watched, read, or heard lately that made you pause or reflect on something deeper?

Led by Allyson George, this group gathers weekly to share and listen for where God might be showing up in the “real” world. It’s a simple, meaningful way to grow in faith and learn to notice God’s presence in new places. Come be part of the conversation!

Main Campus - Sanctuary

Join us for a special music-centered Trinity Sunday worship experience in the Sanctuary. On this day, there will be one Classic worship service at 11 AM in the Sanctuary (there will be no 9:30 AM Classic service). Featuring the MDUMC choir and orchestra, the service will include a presentation of Trinity by Marianne Forman in a unique, concert-like morning of worship and reflection.

Please note: worship at The Journey will continue as usual with no changes to contemporary service times!

Make a difference each Sunday morning by serving our church community! From offering a friendly smile as a greeter to helping create a smooth, welcoming environment as an usher, or serving during communion, every role plays a meaningful part. When you volunteer, you help create a space where people feel comfortable, cared for, and connected. No matter your role, you’re helping make a lasting impact one Sunday at a time.

Beginning Tuesday, May 26, our volunteer-led Front Desk hours will be 9 AM - 4 PM. Staff will be available outside of Front Desk hours for meetings by appointment and phone calls through our automated phone answering system. We’re excited to host Steinway Artist Zoya Shuhatovich, an internationally acclaimed pianist who has performed at venues such as London’s St. Martin-in-the-Fields and the Great Hall in Tallinn, and for leaders including President Clinton and members of the Spanish Royal Family. Join us for an unforgettable afternoon featuring Romantic Era masterpieces by Bach, Beethoven, and Chopin, performed on our beautiful Steinway. All are welcome to this free event!
