3rd Grade Bible Sunday
3rd Grade Bible Sunday is a special Sunday, celebrating a meaningful milestone in your child's faith journey. During worship, our 3rd graders will be presented with a customized Bible of their very own. Bibles will be presented at 9:30 AM on Main Campus and 11 AM at The Journey.
At 12:15, students will meet at The Journey for a Bible check-in. We'll enjoy a pizza lunch together and learn how to read, navigate, and make the most of their new Bibles.
God's Love: Strength in Faith
Join us on October 1 for God’s Love: Strength in Faith, a special evening celebrating the faith, courage, and resilience of individuals and families in our Special Needs Ministry. This special evening will feature two inspiring father-son duos, Cash and Chase Harris and Johnny and Jeff Agar, whose stories of overcoming challenges together have captured the attention of millions and inspired people around the world. The evening will benefit our Special Needs Ministry as we continue creating more opportunities for individuals and families to belong, grow, and thrive.

Hearts & Hands is an annual fundraiser that supports outreach ministry grants that support women, children, and youth. Shop from more than 70 vendors across our Main Campus, enjoy a bake sale treat and boxed lunch, and stroll through our silent auction. It’s a wonderful way to welcome the Christmas season while supporting missions that benefit women, children, and youth.
There are also many ways to get involved through volunteering, baking, donating to the silent auction, or sponsoring special events. We are grateful to our sponsors, donors, volunteers, bakers, shoppers, and facilities staff who make this community mission work possible!

Phantom of the Organ
The Phantom of the Organ returns with a fresh new show full of electrifying, captivating performances. MDUMC artist-in-residence Stephen Distad will share the bench with organist extraordinaire Doug Cleveland from Seattle for a one-night-only show celebrating the command and versatility of the majestic pipe organ.
Joined by a cast of inspiring instrumentalists and vocalists, the Phantom will sweep you along a musical journey that is Out of This World:
• A 250,000-mile voyage with the crew of Artemis II
• An inspirational visit to the Olympic Games of Milano Cortina 2026
• A trip across time commemorating the 250th anniversary of the USA
• A drive down country roads as FIFA World Cup comes to Texas
Old favorites will appear during the music of the night, of course, and valkyries will surely ride through. A spectacle beyond expectation, billowing fog, dramatic lighting and the soothing yet ominous flicker of candlelight awaits.

This holiday weekend, we're doing something special. On Sunday, July 5, our entire church family will gather together for one combined worship service at 11 AM in the Sanctuary.
A few schedule notes for the day:
There will be no services at the Journey and no 9:30 services — just one service at 11 AM in the Sanctuary.
Children's Sunday school will not meet, but childcare will be available for children Pre-K 4 and younger. Kids of all ages are welcome in worship!
Then, stick around for lunch.
After the service, join us in the gym for a free church-wide cookout. We'll fire up the grill and provide burgers and hot dogs — you're invited to bring a dish to share:

Summer Book Club

This summer, Pastor Seann will host a casual Summer Book Club at MDUMC! Over the course of three months, we’ll read three books together and gather on Sunday afternoons for relaxed conversation and discussion. Come for one book or all three — whatever sounds meaningful (or just interesting) to you. Along the way, Pastor Seann will also send out a few thoughts and notes for those participating.

Listening For God: June Bible Study

God is at work all around us, even in the everyday moments and media we engage with. What have you watched, read, or heard lately that made you pause or reflect on something deeper?
Led by Allyson George, this group gathers weekly to share and listen for where God might be showing up in the “real” world. It’s a simple, meaningful way to grow in faith and learn to notice God’s presence in new places. Come be part of the conversation!
Trinity Sunday

Join us for a special music-centered Trinity Sunday worship experience in the Sanctuary. On this day, there will be one Classic worship service at 11 AM in the Sanctuary (there will be no 9:30 AM Classic service). Featuring the MDUMC choir and orchestra, the service will include a presentation of Trinity by Marianne Forman in a unique, concert-like morning of worship and reflection.
Please note: worship at The Journey will continue as usual with no changes to contemporary service times!
Volunteer Sunday Mornings

From offering a friendly smile as a greeter to helping create a smooth, welcoming environment as an usher, or serving during communion, every role plays a meaningful part. When you volunteer, you help create a space where people feel comfortable, cared for, and connected. No matter your role, you’re helping make a lasting impact one Sunday at a time.

Beginning Tuesday, May 26, our volunteer-led Front Desk hours will be 9 AM - 4 PM. Staff will be available outside of Front Desk hours for meetings by appointment and phone calls through our automated phone answering system.
