Serve HTX FAQ

What is Serve HTX?

One of MDUMC’s mission objectives is to serve our community together one weekend a year. Outreach is an important part of our life as a church family, and we want to serve our city well for Christ. This will be a weekend for us to worship God and to serve those whom Christ has called us to serve. Registration is required, except for home projects and Sunday activities. Project details and links to register are listed above.

Do I need to wear a SERVE HTX T-Shirt?

SERVE HTX t-shirts are encouraged for all participants but not required. Shirts can be purchased in the registration link ($10). The 2026 SERVE HTX shirt is the same as the 2025 SERVE HTX shirt, so feel free to wear your t-shirt from last year.

If I want to participate that weekend but am not available, how can I support SERVE HTX?

See our at home projects above. Also, making a monetary donation to offset project costs is much appreciated.

Is there a cost to participate?

There is no cost to participate.

Is transportation provided to the various projects?

With the exception of Wesley Community Center, transportation to projects is not provided. We do encourage you to carpool with your volunteer group, however!
