MDUMC offers many opportunities for outreach, including our missions program. Missioners are sent throughout the US, and around the world, showing love for God and neighbor by reaching into the community to help those in need. Find a place where you can be a blessing to others!

Local Missions

CrossWalk Houston | Empower our neighbors to reach their full potential by providing educational opportunities, essential tools, and personal support.

Earth Ministry | Educate the congregation on important environmental issues to create greater awareness of the need to cherish and nurture all of God’s creation.

Flood Relief | Assist those in need of relief through Flood Buckets, April Showers Flood Relief, MAM Flood Response, and Early Response Team.

Hollibrook Mentoring | Become a significant adult in a child’s life whom he/she can depend on and talk with.

One Great Day of Service | Make a difference in our community and around our city by joining in our annual missions day.

Soupmobile | Help provide over 2,000 meals every month to men, women, and children in our community.

Global Missions

Serve at MDUMC

Serve on Sunday Mornings | Judy Brewer -

Serve as an usher, front door greeter, Communion server, or alcolyte (along with many other opportunities) during, before, or after worship. There are places to serve on both campuses to help facilitate Sunday morning worship.

Hospitality Ministry | Judy Brewer -

Welcome others in the name of Christ, extend a hand of fellowship, and encourage participation in the life of the church.  Hospitality servants meet, greet, and guide guests on both campuses, all days of the week.

Kitchen Ministry | Grayson Taylor -

Come help in the kitchen to prepare, cook, and serve delicious food at an affordable price. Our kitchen provides food services to people who gather on our campus for worship, or other events, and help with cooking or set-up is always appreciated!

Stephen Ministry | Susan Wiley -

Become a trained Stephen Minister for those who, during a stressful time, may need a caring, confidential supportive relationship.
