Who We Are as a Church:
We are a growing community of God's holy people bound together and empowered by Christ's Spirit to grow in faith, joy, love and service to all as a transforming witness in the world.
Our common task is to help achieve this identity by encouraging a spiritual connection with God, a loving connection with other people, and a committed connection with great causes.
Kids on the Main Campus:
Children's worship packets are available in the Sanctuary entry and has crayons, coloring pages, activity sheets, and other 'busy but quiet' items. Children's Time is offered at 11:00 a.m. in the middle of the worship service, and the Wiggle Room is a great option for babies or toddlers that may be disturbing others during the sermon. The room is right around the corner from the sanctuary and also shows the service on a large screen so no one misses the sermon. The room is also a 'Bride's room' for weddings but on Sunday mornings it is the Wiggle Room! Our nursery is staffed with paid caregivers and you can take your child at any time during the worship hour.
Kids in The Journey Worship on the West Campus:
Worship packs for kids are available in the back of the room. Children's time happens at both 9:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. After children's time, children are invited to attend JourneyKids behind the worship center. Parents- please sign kids in prior to worship. Nurseries for infants and toddlers are staffed with paid caregivers for both hours of worship.
If your child is learning to attend worship, go over the behavior expectations before the service and keep them simple. Such as:
- Restroom before or after worship
- We all stand when everyone is standing
- We all stop what we are doing when someone is praying
- There will be others around us listening
After worship, ask them one thing they noticed or heard. I had a grandmother tell me once when my children were a bit loud in worship "No matter how frustrating it can be to worship with children, the day they are gone, you will miss them."
